Indian Team for the CWG 2022

The team looks strong with top-quality players in the squad that was a part of the historic bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics last year.

Here we look at the team

Forward- Mandeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Abhishek

Midfielders- Manpreet Singh (C), Hardik Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Shamser Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Nilkanata Sharma

Defenders- Varun Kumar, Surender Kumar, Harmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Jugraj Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh.

The Indian men’s team finished fourth in the 2018 edition held at Gold Coast. They won all their groups stage matches and took on New Zealand in the first semi-finals.

It was heartbreak as the Indian team lost to New Zealand by a 2-3 gap. They could not grab bronze as they lost to England by 1-2.

They would be looking to improve their performances and go the distance as they could take on Australia in the semi-finals or finals.
