The match between India and Srilanka ended in a contoversey when Suraj Randiv bowled a delibrate no ball to deny sehwag the hundred. Sri lanka won the toss and elected to bat and were bowled out for 170 in the 46.1 overs and then india achived the target with 16 overs to spare and won the match with a bonus point.The best part about the match was that the Indian bowlers were right on the target from the start and picked wickets at regular interval.The indian chase did not start well as they lost 3 quick wickets and then sehwag and raina ensured that they were no more major hicupps in the innings.
At the end Sehwag was not happy and said that he bowled the no ball on purpose

  The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September. Indian team began the first quarter on a good note with Abhishek's reverse flick shot saved by Korean goalkeeper Kim Jahean. After the initial domination, a superb pass by Arijit with a goal by Uttam Singh in the 13 th minute to give India a 1-0 lead.   The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt. Nitish Kumar and Steve Taylor steadied the ship for the USA. Sam Curran dismissed Steve Taylor caught by Moeen Ali. Taylor and Nitish Kumar added 34 runs for the 2 nd wicket.
