unsung heroes of the IPL and bad heroes

The IPL 5 season that began from the 4th april and went till the 27th may has seen some great performances from Indian players from the bat and the ball who are knocking the door in the Indian national team. The batting deapartment include Shikhar Dhawan who plays from the Deccan Chargers with 569 runs with an average of 40.64, then Ajikya Rahane who has been playing well for the Mumbai state team in Ranji trophy has done very well to score 560 runs from the Rajasthan Royals and finally Mandeep Singh playing from Kings XI punjab scoring 432 runs. These players can play for the Indian team in shorter form of cricket that is twenty-twenty.

In the bowling front some of Indian bowlers who has been never given the chance to play any cricket was given an oppournity to show their talent. Ajit Chandela an off spinner shook the world with hattrick against the Deccan Chargers. Parvinder Awana also made an impact by bowling well taking 17 wicket in 12 mathces with economy of 7.91. Also other players like Chris Gayle who is from the West Indies was the top scorer.

The IPL also saw some controverosies which invovles 5 players who were banned from playing cricket. The players T. Sundhria form the Deccan chargers banned for life and will not play any cricket held or authroized by the ICC or the BCCI. Other players include Shalabh Shrivastva banned for five years from Kings XI punjab, Amit Yadav banned for a year played for Kings XI punjab, Mohnish Mishra banned for year played For Pune Warriors and Abhinav Bali No IPL contract were the coluprits.
