IPL
The IPL is francise based tournament that had started in 2008 and gained populairty among the viewers since then. It provides young indian talent to perform well with International Players.The IPL has brought the element of glamour, bollywood celebrities and the owners of the franchises come and motivate the team to perform well. It also provide an opportunity for the people who come from the office. During the months when IPL is taking place for 2 months it gives the viewers to watch the titillating finshes. The young Indian players who have shown some promise and played some wonderful knocks. In season 1 Yusuf Pathan scored a 37 ball hundred, Manish Pandey scoring a brilliant 114 in season 2, Paul Valithy scoring a century against the Chennai Super Kings in Season 4 for Kings 11 Punjab.
The IPL has currently 9 teams. It had 2 new teams in 2010 namely The Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Sahara Pune Warriors, because of some problems the Kochi Tuskers Kerala was knocked out of the IPL. In every there are few Indian youngsters who have shown Promise like in Chennai Super Kings the young bowler Mohit Sharma, Sunsrisers Hyderbad Batsman who was part of the Under 19 cricket team who won in it in 2013, Harmeet Singh from Rajasthan royals, Mandeep Singh from Kings 11 Punjab, Manan Vohra from Kings 11 Punjab, Gurkereet Singh Mann from Kings 11 Punjab, Rahul Shukla from Rajasthan royals, Sachi baby who is making his ILP debut, Karn Sharma from Sunrisers hyderbad have an oppurnity to play with some big players and captains.With foreign coaches coming to India they can teach the young Indian Bowlers how to bowl and Bat. Some of Indians bowlers who have done well in this league are Amit Mishra playing from The Sunrisers Hyderbad who is the second highest wicket taker, Vinay Kumar, Ajit Chandeila who has picked a hattrick last year, Parvinder Awana who is young talented fast bowler plays for the Delhi State team, Ladda who plays for Kolkatta Knight riders and R ashwin who has done very well in the IPL. The Indian players playing with exprienced players Like Gayle, Dravid, Sachin, Dhoni, they can learn a lot about the game. The IPL has seen Rajasthan Royals winning it 1, Deccan Charagers 1, Chennai Super Kings 2 and Kolkatta Knight Riders 1.
Because of the IPL the fielding of the Indian players have improved a lot. Youngsters like Ajyinka Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, Ambati Raydu, Mandeep singh with their fielding brings energy to the field and can change the match with one brilliant catch or runout.
In a recent survey done by the newspaper the BCCI rules says that only four players can play from a state but should have enough quality to get a place in team. For ex Dishant Yagnik and Ashok Menaria are both from Rajasthan so they get to play from Rajasthan Royals.
The IPL can also harm the players, because of the travel they get tired both mentally and physically. For example In 2009 when the Indian cricket T-20 went to England they did not qualify beyond the super kings stage and the same happened in 2010 T-20 world cup in West Indies. When the Indian team won the World Cup in 2011 the indian players played the IPL straight after and by the time Indian team went to England tour they looked jaded and lost their number 1 ranking and also lost the series 4-0
In IPL6 after all the teams had played 7-8 matches each Royal Challangers Bangalore are sitting at top with 12 points, Chennai Super Kings with 10, Sunrisers Hyderabad with 10 points, Rajasthan Royals with8, Kings 11 Punjab with 8 , Mumbai Indian with 8, Kolkatta Knight Riders 4, Pune Warriors India 4 and Delhi Daredevils at last Postion with 2. I think Bangalore Royal Challangers, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderbad and the place for the fourth spot for the Play offs would be Between Rajsthan, Kolkatta, Kings 11 Punjab and Mumbai Indians. I think the final would be between Bangalore Royal Challngers and Chennai Super Kings. This is because The Royal Banaglore Royal challangers has great batting line up consiting of Gayle, Kohli, Dilshan, De villers and if gayle clicks on his day he can destory any bowling line up.
