India- The batting powerhouse

For the past 6 to 7 months the Indian batting has been scoring or chasing runs with so much confidence. In ODI's the Indian team comprised the likes of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar first man to score   a double ton in ODI Laxman, Virender Sehwag and others but the youngsters these days are able to chase down the scores with so much confidence. Shikhar Dhawan who made his test debut scored a ton and then he played crucial role by scoring 2 centuries, Virat Kohli who is special talent has been instrumental in chasing big scores, Raina an attacking batsman, Yuvraj an explosive player, Dhoni a great finisher. The Indian team have the record of chasing 300+ total 13 times. I think these batsman know how to change the gear and make the match out of a game which is slipping. The recent form of Virat Kohli has been superb in this year scoring over 1000 runs with some match winning innings. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma opening partnership has laid a good foundation for the ex...

South Africa-The king of test cricket

South African team has been on a roll in test cricket since it has taken the number 1 spot. The side looks well balanced unit and can prevail in any conditions with their fast bowling quality and also batting firepower. This team can get out of any trouble position and can turn the table on the opposition. The batting looks rock solid which has some great players like Graeme Smith, Jacques Kallis, Hashim Amla,Ab devillers  and some inexprienced players like Faf du Plesis, JP Duminy. The quality players like Jacques Kallis and Hashim Amla can  play long innings and built a strong foundation for a huge score and let the bowlers put pressure on the opponents batsman especially the sub continent players who cannot play short balls. The swing bowling of Dale Steyn the number one bowler in the rankings, Vernon Phalinder a swing bowler, Morne Morkel, but the main problem lies in the spin department. To get the best out of team and team spirit is best quality in this team. When Sout...

Prestigous domestic tournament to kick off

On the 27th of October it will mark the start of fresh Ranji trophy which is the most prestigious domestic tournament in India. The matches will be played in different parts of the country. The most anticpated match would be the Haryana and Mumbai played at Lahli where the attention would be the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar who may be playing his last Ranji Trophy. Mumbai are the favorites to win the tournament because they have all the bases covered. I think the Delhi has an equal chance to qualify because of the batting they posses and the bowling which may trouble. Group A comprises of Winners Mumbai, Punjab Semi finalist, Gujrat, Delhi, Karnatka quarter finalist, Haryana, Orissa, Jharkhand, Vidarbha promoted from group C. Group B will comprise of Saurashtra (runners-up), Services (semi-finalists, promoted from Group C), Uttar Pradesh (quarter-finalists), Railways, Baroda (quarter-finalists), Madhya Pradesh, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Group C will comprise Hyderabad (...

Death bowling a problem for India

India has been struggling to find a death bowler which can bowl yorkers at will for the past 1 year. All the bowlers including vinay kumar, Bhuvenswar Kumar all are bowling around 130 speed are going around 10 to 12 runs per over. This has been haunting India for long. In the current series against the Aussies the bowling in the death overs has not been great, they are trying to bowl full length or upto the batsman which the batsman are picking easily. I think in the upcoming matches the bowling needs to improve or the series will be gone. The pace of Vinay Kumar and Bhuvi, Ishant are allowing the batsman to play the strokes. The best exponent of the yorker was Zaheer Khan who is currently out of the squad because of an injury. In the recent Champions trophy the bowlers did a great job but in one of league matches against the West Indies the opponent were struggling to reach a score 200, Ishant sharma and other bowlers tried all other stuffs but was not able to contain Darren Sammy ...

Lack of consisentcy by Indian players

The Indian badminton players in singles category at the world stage have improved with the likes of Saina Nehwal, PV sindhu  and in male category the likes of Sourabh Verma, Praineeth, Gurusaidutt, Srikanth, Kashyap proving to the world that the Indian players can compete with world best and can win tournaments. The doubles category in both men and women does not look good after the likes of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa. In 2011 they won the bronze medal at the world championship and thereafter there is no women's pair in India   I am sure that the new and young talented Indian players are capable of doing well. The IBL experience should help these youngsters to increase their level of confidence but there are weakness in these Indian male and female players which they should remove. The strength of the Koreans, Chinese, Japanese and the fitness of players in these countries is so good that to match the stamina needs more time. Saina Nehwal is not having a good 2013 becau...

final farewell for little master at his home ground

Sachin Tendulkar who has done so much for Indian cricket and world cricket is remarkable. The dedication and the efforts he puts in practice and scores so many runs when the team needs the most talks about the staus the genuis deserves.. Every cricket of the world is praise of this genius cricketer. The little master announced his retirement from test cricket and will play his final match on his home ground at Mumbai from the 14th-18th November. The 24 cricketing year has been great one. I think this little genius has given so much for the people of India and the Indian community outside to watch this man play and entertain the crowd. Starting his carrer on November 14 1989 against and lasting such long shows that young generation can do very well in their cricketing lives. His record in international cricket has been unimaginable with 100 hundreds all over the world. He is regarded special because he scored in tough conditions where the bowl swung and bounced  but his will to s...

The use of technology in sports- A bane or boon

In the current scenario technology in sports plays an important role. It should be used for the benefit of game and can bring more excitement. By placing the technology in any sports it puts less pressure on the umpires and can reduce the mistakes in the game. The debatle Decision Review System is an example of that. The Indian team always opposes because the board says that it should be fool proof. In the current ashes series so many decision went wrong because of the technology, hot spot, the snicko. The wrong use of technology can change the situation of the match. I think the technology must be used in a proper manner so that it does create problems for the umpries and the audiences must enjoy the game.In the new rule the teams can review 2 after 80 overs before how many times they have used the systems. In Badminton the use of technology must be there. The lines man role and the umpires role should be reduced so that players can play the game within spirit. The players should b...

Yuvraj Singh- An inspring story

In Nariobi when he made ODI debut against the world's best team during that time nobody that this man would be a match winner for India. After the world cup win in 2011 he was diagonzed with cancer but his will to play cricket and wishes of the parents, friends and the India's people prays was listened and this man cameback in the T-20 world cup in 2012. I think Yuvraj Singh will to fight and the determination to play for the country is big example showing that if the person has eagerness to play for the country nobody cant stop. The 2007 T-20 world cup when he hit 6 sixes of Stuart Broad shows that the man brute force to clear any ground. The bowling of this man is also good with his variations and the ability to deceive the batsman is another plus for the Indian. His fitness from the past 1 year has not been great but now he has come back with bang to Indian ODI team after scoring good runs in the domestic season that includeded the Challenger Series, ODI series against th...

Final four battle start in champions T-20

After 20 matches in the league stage of the tournament it is now the battle between four teams in which there are 3 IPL teams the Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai, Rajasthan and the West Indies team Trinidad and Tobago. Chennai super Kings who won 3 matches and lost the last league match has to play the Rajasthan Royals in the first Semi finals which is going be cracker of match. Chennai which has strong batting line up failed in the last league match against the T&T. I think the first semi final and the second Semi final are going to a close one. Mumbai Indians who was in pressure to win their last match of the league stage to better their net run rate did qualify in fine style getting to the target in 13.2 overs. Mumbai Indians can be dangerous side with quality strokeplayers like Dwayne Smith, Pollard, Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik and class bowling in the form of Harbhajan, Ojha, Johnnson. The Trindad and Tobago has played with freedom. The bowling line is good with likes of Nar...
