Death bowling a problem for India
India has been struggling to find a death bowler which can bowl yorkers at will for the past 1 year. All the bowlers including vinay kumar, Bhuvenswar Kumar all are bowling around 130 speed are going around 10 to 12 runs per over. This has been haunting India for long. In the current series against the Aussies the bowling in the death overs has not been great, they are trying to bowl full length or upto the batsman which the batsman are picking easily. I think in the upcoming matches the bowling needs to improve or the series will be gone.
The pace of Vinay Kumar and Bhuvi, Ishant are allowing the batsman to play the strokes. The best exponent of the yorker was Zaheer Khan who is currently out of the squad because of an injury. In the recent Champions trophy the bowlers did a great job but in one of league matches against the West Indies the opponent were struggling to reach a score 200, Ishant sharma and other bowlers tried all other stuffs but was not able to contain Darren Sammy and the team scored 232 for 9. I am firm believer that the Indian bowlers get confused what lines and lengths to bowl when a batsman is set for a long time and tries to bowl half volleys, long hops and other stuff.
The capatin of the Indian team must try to speak to the bowlers who are bowling the crucial overs so that there moral is high and gets confidence.
When the pitch is flat the Indian bowlers bowl short and wide, must try to bowl the full length deliveries. The five fielder rule inside the circle is making the job of bowlers also tough.
The top bowlers like Umar Gul, Dale Steyn, are the bowlers who are expert in bowling yorkers but they are yet to tested with new rules.
The bowlers from India come into the team with speed of 140 kmph and reduce then to 130 because they are not used to bowl and also new, young and talented bowlers has the ability but not guided properly. That is why the scores 350 or 360 is being able to chased down easily.
