Karnatka certain to seal the final berth
This year Karnataka has played brilliantly so far and are certain to seal a berth in finals of Ranji trophy 2014. In the semi finals against Punjab the visitors won the toss and bowled first. The start was not bright as Karnatka captain Vinay Kumar was injured and left the field. After that the Karnatka team struggled and picked up two wickets in the first session. At one stage Punjab were 223 for 3 and then came the spell of Vinay Kumar which decimated the home team and Punjab were bowled out for 270 which looked ok after such a great start Punjab team players played loose shots and they had pay for it. The Punjab team took 2 wickets initially and then came the resistance from Karnataka batsman
Karnatka batsman then took control and are bossing the game. Despite their is one day left in the game Karntaka are certain to book a place in the final against Maharastra who defeated the Bengal team by 10 wickets. In Karnatka first innings Manish pandey scoring 65, Amit Verma who is playing on 108 and Karun Nair out on 136. The Punjab bowlers did try hard and also some decisions went against the home team which frustrated the captain Harbhjan Singh.
In the final it will be closely fought match. The Karnatka team form is also great and Maharastra have surprised everybody. The bowling of both team looks good. The advantage will be with Karnatka because of the experience they posses. Maharashtra bowling has been in top form and their batting has been performing brilliantly. The Karnatka team has won 6 matches outright and have not put a foot wrong after the first three games.
I am firm believer that Karnataka and Mahrastra match have done well to reach to this stage and i hope that the best team wins. The Karnatka team has been on a roll and the team spirit of the Karnatka team has been great and are enjoying the success but the Maharastra team has performed beyond expectations. The pitch at Hyderabad will be good one.
