India steal series with thumping win
India won the ODI series by beating Bangladesh in the 2nd match of the 3 match series with thumping 47 runs win in low scoring thriller. Bangladesh won the toss in this match and elected to bowl on helpful pitch for the seamers and spinners. India got off to a poor start losing Rahane for 0, after a rain delay shorten the match to a 41 overs side. Taskin Ahmed then bowled with pace and rattled the Indian batsman with swing bowling which proved the undoing of the Indian batsman. All the three pace bowlers bowled well and took the advantage of the overcast conditions. The top scorer for the Indian team was Raina scoring 26 and the next highest scorer was Umesh Yadav 17 and were finally bowled out for a paltry score 105 with 16.3 to spare.
Bangaladesh innings began off to worst possible start losing Tamim Iqbal for 4 and then after Anamul Haque lost wicket reduced to 13 for 2. The Indian bowlers bowled well but the Bangladesh batsman played some irresponsible shots. At the interval Bangladesh were 19 for 2. Mithun Ali played well for 25 but after that what happened was shocking. Stuart Binny just changed course of the match with swing bowling and took 6 wickets for 4 runs and giving India a 47 runs victory by D/L method.
The Indian team must try the likes of Ishwar pandey, Vinay Kumar, Kedhar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary to see the skills of these young batsman and bowlers who have done well in domestic circuit. The Indian team has the ability to dominate the England series if the seamers bowl like this coming July. Lets hope this would a big boost for the players who have performed well and are a contender to be a squad in 15 man World cup in 2015.
This collapse proves that Bangladesh have lost confidence in winning games. The losing streak in ODI's has come to 9 since the home series against Sri Lanka, losing to Afghanistan in Asia Cup and losing all the four matches in T-20 world cup.
Yesterday match was special for Stuart Binny who broke the back of Bangladesh batting taking 6 wickets for 4 runs and Mohit Sharma taking 4 wickets for 22 runs. The Indians bowled in right channel and they got reward.
India batting in yesterday match was not up to the mark which resulted in such low score. I think after tommorow match some of the players might make in ODI squad against England.
