The 31 year old wait comes to an end here today when Zimabwawe beat the Australians by 3 wickets in the triangular series featuring South Africa. This win will be there 2nd as the first win came back in 1983 world cup. It was team effort. Australian won the toss and elected to bat. Zimabwawe spinners bowled brilliantly. They lost regular wickets from the start and never gained momentum to give a huge score to defend. Clarke was the top score with 68 and Haddin played a vital knock of 49 to give Australia a decent total as Zimbwawe batting was let down in the previous two matches. The spinners stiffled the Australian batsman as they never allowed to score at a quick rate. At the end when the pacers the Australian team hit some big strokes. Zimbabwe opening partnership scored 42. After that the home team lost 2 wickets. The partnership of Taylor and Masakazda steadied with innings, then they lost three wickets which haunted them. India won the 2nd match of the series by 133 runs on the D/L method. After the first ODI was abandoned at Bristol, today's match at Cardiff started on time. Indian team- The match winners

In the Indian cricket team Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni , Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli are the main source of inspiration for me. Since I watched the master blaster his way of behaving, no controversies, a gentlemen created a special feeling in me which touched my heart. The God of Cricket  In 1999 when Sachin Tendulkar's father died during the World cup, he showed his dedication to play the world cup by making a quick returns after attending the funeral of his father. This was amazing as it shows the commitment and dedication for the cause of country despite near catastrophe at home. This was the first incidence that stuck me. In 2011 after winning the 50 over world cup in his home crowd and the way people cheered for him, the youngsters lifting him on their  shoulders was an amazing scene which I will never forget. The speech he gave at his home ground in his last test touched me as thanked all the people who supported him during bad times. Sachin is a source of inspirati...

A chance for India to redeem its pride in ODI's

After a disappointing test series loss in test series, the Indians have a chance to redeem its pride in five match series to began from 25th August. This series will provide an opportunity for the team to get out of such a debacle after losing the 5th series outside India in longest form of the game overseas which has been a main problem for team since losing 2011. In the recently concluded test series Vijay began the series on a bright note scoring a century in first test match and a 95 in the second innings of 2nd test match at Lords  which lead to India winning the second test match and taking 1-0 lead. After that match the Indian team completely lost the initiative and were on the defensive. Bhuvneshwar was the positive for the Indians picking up 18 wickets. The thing that lead to downfall of the team was the pillar Virat Kohli and Pujrara not scoring runs, putting pressure on the lower order batsman. In the One day internationals the team has to play positively and put th...

The best part of was that India won medals in discuss throw by Vikas Gowda in men, Seema Punia in the discuss for women, Arpinder Singh in men's triple jump and Dipia karmakar winning bronze in gymnastic which is great boost for the Indians ahead of the Asian games to held in September and on the disappointing side Krishna Poonia was not in his elements as she finished fifth in the finals. In Squash the doubles pair of Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa won an historic gold medal as it was their first medal in the sports.
