A chance for India to redeem its pride in ODI's

After a disappointing test series loss in test series, the Indians have a chance to redeem its pride in five match series to began from 25th August. This series will provide an opportunity for the team to get out of such a debacle after losing the 5th series outside India in longest form of the game overseas which has been a main problem for team since losing 2011.

In the recently concluded test series Vijay began the series on a bright note scoring a century in first test match and a 95 in the second innings of 2nd test match at Lords  which lead to India winning the second test match and taking 1-0 lead. After that match the Indian team completely lost the initiative and were on the defensive. Bhuvneshwar was the positive for the Indians picking up 18 wickets. The thing that lead to downfall of the team was the pillar Virat Kohli and Pujrara not scoring runs, putting pressure on the lower order batsman.

In the One day internationals the team has to play positively and put the pressure on the England bowling which will be high on confidence. The record in the ODI"s outside subcontient in recent times has not been good and now is the time to put all differences apart and play like a world championship. All the top 6 batsman has to contribute if India has to put a huge score on the board. The likes of Rohit, Dhawan , Kohli must focus on the job.

The bowling needs to improve and I think the Indian bowlers being inexperienced can deliver for the captain Mohit Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni, Umesh Yadav must began well in the powerplay overs and not let the opening batsman score freely.

It promises to be close contest and India has to be on the toes from the start. I am sure that this young team will be hurt and eager to show play for the country and win.
