Sachin Tendulkar who has done the country proud by playing for 24 years has been inspiration for the younsgters and whenever he stepped on the field people expected him to score runs and he played according to people expectations was remarkable achievement. Scoring 100 centuries is not easy and it needs a super human effort to cross this record. His humbleness, dedication and play for country makes him ambassador and role model for youngsters.

In 1999 when Sachin Tendulkar's father died during the World cup, he showed his dedication to play the world cup by making a quick returns after attending the funeral of his father. This was amazing as it shows the commitment and dedication for the cause of country despite near catastrophe at home. This was the first incidence that stuck me.
In 2011 after winning the 50 over world cup in his home crowd and the way people cheered for him, the youngsters lifting him on their shoulders was an amazing scene which I will never forget. The speech he gave at his home ground in his last test touched me as thanked all the people who supported him during bad times. Sachin is a source of inspiration for the youngsters of the not only our country but worldwide and me because his humbleness, support from the family he became the brand ambassador of cricket that makes him special
The farewell he got and the respect he got from the Indians players, the people at the stadium in his farewell match the people cried and were disappointed that Sachin will never play the sports again. His achievements in international cricket is just outstanding and he deserves all the credit and accolades he has received in the past 2 test matches. I think that Sachin Tendulkar is a perfect role model for young people who are aspiring to be cricketer and become like him.

A good news that the govt of India has decided to award the highest civilian Bharat Ratan which he deserves. He will be the first sportsperson to awarded with such award and I think he deserves this prestigious award. Sachin said in his speech that chase your dreams there are no shortcuts should be the mantra for every cricketer that has played for India and going to play for India.He was special because he played well in foreign conditions where the ball bounces and swings.
This genius batsman called god of Cricket best gift was he won the 2011 world cup in his home town Mumbai, winning the champions league for Mumbai Indians in 2013. 664 matches overall is not a joke and i think he has a role after spending some time with his family.
