This time also we can hope that out of these 3 teams one can lift the trophy.
Chennai Super Kings has been a consistent side in the IPL from the start. They won CL T-20 trophy in 2010. The batting looks solid. The onus will be on opener Brendon Mcullum and Dwayne Smith to give a flying start followed by Raina whose performances in this tournament has exceptional, Faf Du plesis, MS Dhoni, who is one finest finishers in 50-50 overs and T-20 Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra jadjea both all rounder contribute with bat and ball. Both Jadjea and Dwayne Bravo can are excellent fielders. This team has done well in the past and the pressure will be on them to repeat the performances. The bowling looks a little weak as the bowlers are little bit raw but MS Dhoni knows how to tackle pressure.
Kings XI Punjab are one of the exciting teams to watch in this tournament. They have some big hitters which can clear boundaries with ease which includes Virender Sehwag, Manan Vohra, Wridhman Saha, Glenn Maxwell, David Miller. These players were responsible for such great performances in Indian premier league 2014 edition. The bowling team looks very balanced with likes of Mitchell Johonson, L balaji, Sandeep Sharma and the emerging player of IPL 2014 Akshar Patel. This team has a chance of going a long way in this tournament.
Kolkatta Knight Riders who won the 2014 Indian Premier league after bad beginning in the tournament but they have win matches right from the start. They will be without the services of Shakib-Al- Hasan and that might be their problem. The batting has to click if they have to put pressure on the opponents. Their main bowler will be Sunil Narine.
The Mumbai Indians has to play the qualifier round and will be without their regular captain Rohit Sharma. This team needs to perform well against good teams.
Overall the Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI punjab are well balanced side among the 4 sides. It will be interesting to see that an Indian side will lift the trophy or will we see new champion in this year tournament
