England wins the first T20 with ease

England defeated India in the first T20 by 7 wickets at Green Park, Kanpur just finished few minutes ago. After winning the toss, England bowled well and restricted India to a modest total of 147 and then chased down the target with ease.
England won the toss and choose to field. The Indian openers Virat Kohli and KL Rahul gave the team a solid start putting on 34 for the first wicket. KL Rahul was the first batsmen to be dismissed for 8. At the end of first six overs India was 47 for 1. In the 8th over captain Kohli was dismissed for 29. After that none of the Indian batsmen scored runs at brisk pace as wickets fell at regular intervals. Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya did not contribute. MS Dhoni was the top scorer for India with 36 off 27 balls. India scored 147 for 7 in 20 overs. The pick of bowlers for England was Moeen Ali taking 2 wickets giving away just 21 runs. All the other England bowlers did an excellent job to restrict the Indian batting.

Chasing the target of 148, England openers Jason Roy and Sam Billings gave the team a flying start hitting Bumrah and Ashish Nehra. Yuzvendra Chahal was brought in the 4th over and took 2 wickets in the same over to bring back India into the game. At the end of six overs England was 48 for 2. Eoin Morgan and Joe Root played with positive intent putting on 83 runs for the third wicket. Eoin Morgan completed his half century and was dismissed for 51. England chased down the target of 148 in 18.1 overs with 7 wickets. Chahal picked 2 wickets but it was enough for India to win the match.
