Teams with most 350+ scores in ODI

By scoring 381 for 6 in the second One day international against England at Cuttack, India holds the record the most number of 350+ scores in ODI cricket. These days in modern day cricket, the batsmen have all shots in the making and destroy any bowling line up on its day. Here we look at the top 10 teams with most 350+ scores in ODI cricket.

1.       India- 23 times
India is the only team to score most 350+ runs 23 times in One day international cricket. In yesterday’s match against England, India scored 381 for 6 which helped the hosts to win the series. India has played so far 906 matches. The top scorer for India in One day internationals is Rohit Sharma with 264 not out. India has chased 350+ scores 3 times which shows the depth of Indian batting line up. They have won 2 World Cups in 1983 and 2011. 



2.      South Africa -22 times
South Africa is the best batting line up with great power hitters like De Villiers, De Kock. They have scored 350+ scores 22 times. Despite not winning any major trophies, they hold the record of chasing the biggest score of 438 against Australia in Johannesburg.  They have played so far 564 matches. The highest score for South Africa in ODI cricket is 188 by Gary Kirsten.



3.        Australia-16 times
Australia is the only team to win five world cups including three in a row. Their batting have dominated world cricket in the recent past. They have scored 350+ scores in ODI cricket 16 times. In total they have played 894 matches so far. The highest score by an Australian player in ODI cricket is Matthew Hayden.


4.       New Zealand -12 times
New Zealand has scored 350+ in ODI cricket 12 times. Their best performance in a major tournament has been reaching the finals of ICC World Cup 2015 held in Australia and New Zealand. They had top quality batsmen like Brendon Mcullum, Martin Guptil, Corey Anderson who can scores runs with quick pace and make the batting look easy. They have played a total of 714 ODI matches so far. The highest score by a New Zealand player in ODI cricket is Martin Guptil who scored 237 not out.



5.    England- 9 times
England ODI batting line up has improved a lot since the 2015 World Cup. They have scored 350+ scores only 9 times. In the current ODI series against India, England have scored 350+ score twice but still lost the match. They have played a total of 679 matches. The highest score by England player in ODI cricket is Jason Roy.



6.       Sri Lanka-7 times
Sri Lanka has scored 350+ in ODI cricket 7 times. They had a top quality batting line up comprising of Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardne, Dilshan whose batting was a treat to watch. In total they have played a total of 782 ODI matches. The highest score by an Sri Lankan batsmen in ODI cricket is Sanath Jayasuriya. 



7.     Pakistan- 6 times
Pakistan has scored 350+ scores in ODI cricket 6 times. They have an unpredictable batting line up but have lot of lot fire power in their bowling line up to restrict the opposition batting line up. They have played a total of 869 ODI matches so far since 1973. The highest score by a Pakistan batsman in ODI cricket is by Saeed Anwar.


8.     West Indies -3 times
West Indies record of scoring 350+ runs in ODI cricket is not good. They have done this only thrice in their ODI cricket history. The Current West Indies ODI team is trying to build a team which has not qualified for the Champions Trophy 2017 to be held in England this June. The West Indies team have played a total of 748 matches in ODI cricket. The highest by a West Indies cricketer in ODI cricket is by Chris Gayle.



9.        Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe has achieved of scoring 350+ runs in ODI cricket just once. Zimbabwe have struggled their feet in ODI cricket. They have played a total of 479 ODI matches. The highest score by an Zimbabwe batsmen was Charles Coventry. The team hardly plays against the top quality teams.

  The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September.   The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt.
