Mohit Ahalwat becomes the first cricketer to score triple century in T20 cricket

Mohit Ahalwat created a unique record by becoming the first cricketer to score triple century in T20 cricket. He achieved this feat during a T20 match playing for Maavi XI in local tournament at Delhi’s  Lalita Park against Friends XI today.
This is the first time that a player has scored a triple century in a T20 match at any level. During his 300 not out knock he hit 39 sixes and 14 boundaries which came off 72 balls only. His efforts helped Maavi XI to score 416 in 20 overs. His partners Gaurav scored 86 off 39 balls. Maavi XI won the match by 216 runs.

For Delhi, Mohit Ahawlat played 3 first class games but could not contribute only 5 runs. Mohit played his last first class game in 2015 against Haryana. He is 21 years of age and done something unique in shortest format of the game.

The highest score in a T20 game during the shortest format is 175 by Chris Gayle. Chris Gayle hit 175 in IPL. Mohit Ahawlat would catch the eye of franchises during IPL 10 auction. Mohit Ahawlat just showed his power with the bat as he was batting on 250 till the 18th over and scored 50 runs in the next 2 overs. It is a great achievement for a young player to score a triple century in T20 format.
