The exciting 4 match test series between India and Australia
ended with India winning the test series by 2-1 after losing the 1st
test match at Pune. It was a great team work by team India who showed great
character in tough times. There were many positives for Indian team during the

KL Rahul performed brilliantly at the top of the order for
India during this test series. He gave the team solid starts. In the 7 innings

was 90 during the first innings at Bangalore and was not able convert those
scores into big ones. He played some important knocks during the test series,
also scored the winning runs for India during the today’s play at Dharamshala.

Cheteshwar Pujara was the backbone of the Indian batting
order during the test series. After failing in the first match at Pune, Pujara
played a brilliant knock of 92 in the second test of Bangalore test match which
helped India to win the test match and continued his excellent form during the
third test at Ranchi by scoring 202 runs in 525 balls. In the test series, he
scored a total of 405 runs and played a key role in India’s win over Australia.

Ravindra Jadeja emergence as an all rounder
Ravindra Jadeja played a key role for India with the bat and
ball for India during this test series. At the time of crisis he scored
important half centuries, also taking important wickets which made life tough
for Australian batsmen. He picked 25 wickets and scored 127 runs with 5 wickets
in an innings twice. He was rewarded with the man of the match and also man of
the series award.

Umesh Yadav brilliant fast bowling
Umesh Yadav was the star in the pace department for India
during this series. He picked a total of 17 wickets bowling at pace. On the 3rd
day of the fourth test at Dharamshala, Umesh bowled a fiery spell bouncing out
Australian batsmen taking 2 top order wickets which set them on the backfoot.
His improvement in this series will help the Indian team to become a better
bowler in overseas conditions also.

Wriddhiman Saha contribution in the lower order
Wriddhiman Saha also played a key role in India’s win over
Australia. He failed to contribute in the first 3 innings while made an
important 20 runs during the second innings of Bangalore test match. The
wicketkeeper batsmen scored a brilliant century at Ranchi and also made an
important 31 runs in the first innings of fourth test match. He also kept well
on tough pitches, taking vital catches to win India matches.
