Pro Kabaddi League 2019: Telegu Titans beat Gujarat Fortunegiants to register their first win

Telegu Titans defeated Gujarat Fortune giants by 30-24 to register their first win of Pro Kabaddi League 2019 played at Trans Arena Stadium, Ahmadabad in the 2nd match on Sunday.
Titans got off to a good start as Siddarth Desai with a touchpoint dismissing Sumit. Suraj Desai made it 2-0 in favor of Gujarat getting Sunil Kumar. In the first few minutes, Gujarat all out Telegu Titans to give them a commanding 9-4 lead. It was a dominating performance by Telegu Titans defense and attack who put pressure on Gujrat team. Telegu Titans had 17-13 at the end of the first half.

The second half also began on a positive note for Telegu Titans as More was tackled by Vishal Bhardwaj. Siddarth Desai made life tough for Gujarat side with successful raids Suraj Desai also provided the flip for Telegu Titans with successful raids. Despite Gujarat trying their best in the dying minutes, Titans defeated Gujarat by 30-24 to register their first win of Pro Kabaddi League 2019.
Parvesh Bhaniswal was the top defender in the match with 7 tackle points for Gujarat. Sachin earned 2 raid points and 2 bonus points. For Telegu Titans, Vishal Bhardwaj got 7 tackle points. Siddarth Desai scored 4 points and 3 bonus points. Rohit Gulia was the top raider with 5 raid points from 11 attempts.

Gujarat Fortune giants earned 15 raid points as compared to 11 off Telegu Titans. Titans dominated Gujarat with 16 tackle as compared to 8 off Gujarat. Telegu got Gujarat all out once. Both earned 1 extra point each. There were no Super raids from each side. Despite that win, Telegu Titans remained at the bottom of the points table with 10 points from 7 matches.

Gujarat Fortune giants suffered their 2nd successive loss at home ground. They are at 5th place with 18 points from 7 matches.

  The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September. Indian team began the first quarter on a good note with Abhishek's reverse flick shot saved by Korean goalkeeper Kim Jahean.   The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt.
