Pro Kabaddi League 2019: Telegu Titans and Bengal Warriors match ends in a thrilling tie
The match between Telegu Titans and Bengal Warriors ends in
a 29-29 thrilling tie in the first match of the day played at Trans Arena Stadium,
Ahmedabad on Monday.
Siddarth Desai got Telegu Titans off to a good start with a
touchpoint dismissing Rinku Narwal. Mohammad Nabibakhash leveled the scores
for Bengal Warriors. Titans defense and raiders did not allow Bengal Warriors
to play their attacking game and took a 4-2 lead. Bengal Warriors made a strong
comeback to level the scores at 7-7. Both teams fought for each point. In the
last few minutes of the first half, Siddarth Desai was tackled by Nabibaksh to
level the things for Bengal at 9-9. Siddarth Desai all out Bengal Warriors. Telegu
Titans led 13-11 at the end of the first half.
Bengal Warriors made a strong start as K Prapjanan earned
the first point of the 2nd half with a touch point. Suraj Desai
dismissed Baldev Singh to all-out Bengal Warriors to give Telegu Titans 17-12
lead. Bengal Warriors showed great fighting spirit and made life tough for
Titans. At 18-20, Mohammad Nabibkash got 2 points to level the scores at 20-20.
Rinku Narwal tackled Suraj Desai to give Bengal Warriors 23-20 lead. The match
ebbed and flow from one corner to another. With last 2 raids empty, the match
ended in a thrilling 29-29 tie.
Suraj Desai was the top scorer for Telegu Titans with 4 raid
points and 3 bonus. Siddarth Desai scored 3 raid points and 1 bonus. For Bengal
Warriors, Nabibkash scored 5 raid points, 2 tackle, and 1 bonus point. Maninder
Singh scored 3 raid points and 2 bonus.
Bengal Warriors and Telegu Titans scored 13 raid points each
in the match. Bengal had 11 tackle points as compared to 10 off Telegu. Both
earned 2 all-out points each. With this tie, Telegu Titans moved up one place
up to 11th while Bengal Warriors is at 3rd place with 20
