On the final day of the Vincy Premier T10 league, La
Soufriere Hikers and Botanic Garden Rangers registered contrasting wins.
Hikers have moved up to the top of the points table while Strikers
end the tournament with only 2 points. Botanic Garden Rangers is at the number 3 place with 10 points while Divers is at number 4 with 4 points.
La Soufriere Hikers versus Ford Charlotte Strikers
Ford Charlotte Strikers captain Keron Cottoy won the toss
and decided to bat first. The decision did not pay off as Sealroy Williams was
dismissed by Dillion Douglas in the 2nd over for 5. Othniel Lewis
got the big wicket getting the dangerous Gidron Pope cheaply. Coming to bowl
his first over, Kimson Dalzell reduced Strikers to 31 for 3. Dalzell dismissed
Olanzo Bellingy for a run ball 16.
Kirton Lava and Ronald Scott steadied the innings for
Strikers with a counterattacking 40 runs stand for the 4th wicket.
Kenson Dalzell took the wicket of Lava for 20. Scott showed his class and
remained not out on 27 off 16 balls. Strikers posted 81 for 5 at the end of 10
overs. Lewis, Dillion Douglas, Kimson, and Kenson Dalzell took 1 wicket each.
Chasing 82 runs to win, Salvan Browne and Camano Cain scored
17 runs in the first two overs before rain intervened. With the revised target
of 42 runs in 5 overs, Salvan Browne was dismissed by Ray Jordan for 10.
Dillion Douglas and Camano Cain completed the job as Hikers won the match by 9
wickets via DLS with 8 balls to spare.

Grenadine Divers versus Botanic Garden Rangers
Grenadine Divers captain Asif Hooper won the toss and decided
to bat first. The decision did not pay off as Kenneth Dember dismissed Romano
Pierre and Alex Samuel in the same over. Romario Bibby got the big wicket of
Divers captain Asif Hooper to leave Divers at 17 for 3.
Wayne Harper and Shem Browne steadied the Divers innings
with a brilliant 62 runs for the 4th wicket. Garden captain Kesrick
Williams bowled a great final over giving away just 4 runs and picking 2
wickets which included 1 run out. Divers posted 87 for 6 in 10 overs.
Chasing 88 runs to win, Oziko Williams dismissed facing his
first ball in the 1st over by Asif Hooper. Divers bowled with steady
line and length reducing Garden to 33 for 4. Kenneth Dember and Kevin Abhram rescued
the Garden innings with 50 runs stand for the 5th wicket. With 5
runs to win from 6 balls, Braxie Browne dismissed Kimali Williams to keep the match
interesting. Dember hit the winning runs to help Garden register a thrilling 4
wickets.
Botanic Garden Rangers 88 for 6 in 10 overs (Kenneth Dember
45*, Hyron Shallow 20, Obed McCoy 2/14) beat Grenadine Divers 87 for 6 in 10
overs (Shem Browne 29, Wayne Harper 28, Kesrick Williams 2/14, Kenneth Dember
