Trinbago Knight Riders produced another great display as they defeated Barbados Tridents by 19 runs to register their 3rd successive win in the 9th match of CPL played at Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad on Sunday.

After a rain delay, Tridents captain Jason Holder won the toss and decided to field first. Knight Rider's openers Lendl Simmons faced most of the balls. Sunil Narine survived a run-out chance as Jason Holder could not collect a superb throw by Mitchell Santer. Jason Holder provided the breakthrough dismissing Simmons for run-ball 21. Raymon Reifer dismissed Sunil Narine with quick delivery. Narine made 8 off 16 balls. Munro and Narine added 41 runs for the 2nd wicket.

Munro played brilliant innovative strokes on a tough batting pitch. He completed his fifty off 29 balls and was dismissed soon after with good catch at the boundary by Rashid Khan. TKR captain Kieron Pollard came to the crease and put the Tridents bowlers under immense pressure right from word go with his power-hitting.
