India’s tour of Australia 2020 series schedule announced

 

After so much speculation, Cricket Australia has confirmed the venues and dates for the upcoming series against India.

The series will start with 3 One-day internationals followed by 3 T20I matches. It will take place in Sydney and Canberra. After the finish of IPL 2020, the Indian team would be quarantined for 14 days and would practice.

ODI series will be a part of newly Super League that will be followed by 3 T20I Matches. After that, the much-anticipated Test series would begin in December. Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, the Indian team would be eager to repeat their performance that they delivered during the 2018/19 season.

For the first time, the Indian Team won the ODI series on Australian soil. They became the first Asian team to win a Test series after 71 years. It promises to be a mouth-watering series between the top two quality sides in the World.

The Indian team selection for this series will be announced later this week. The Men in Blue will feature in the international circuit after a gap of 9 months. They featured in the series against New Zealand including 5 T20Is, 3 ODIs, and 2 Test matches.

The Australian Cricket Board announced the full schedule before but due to Covid 19 restrictions, both teams would be looking to showcase their skills in front of crowds.

ODI Series

1.       1^st ODI- 27^th November- SCG

2.       2^nd ODI- 29^th November- SCG

3.       3^rd ODI- 1^st December- Manuka Oval, Canberra.  

 

T20I series

1.       1^st T20I- 4^th December- Manuka Oval, Canberra

2.       2^nd T20I- 6^th December- SCG

3.       3^rd T20I- 8^th December- SCG

Test series

1.       17^th- 21^st December- Adelaide Oval, Adelaide (D/N) Test

2.       26^th- 30^th December- MCG, Adelaide Oval (Back-Up venue)

3.       7^th-11^th January 2021- SCG

4.       15^th-19^th January- Brisbane
