IPL Match 42: All-round Kolkata beat Delhi
After losing their last match miserably to RCB, Kolkata Knight
Riders made a strong comeback into the tournament with a resounding win over
Delhi Capitals in the 42nd match of IPL 2020 played at Sheikh Zayed
International Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided
to field first. Tushar Deshpande bowled the first over giving away 2
boundaries. Anrich Nortje making a comeback into the playing XI got the
breakthrough dismissing Shubman Gill with an easy catch to Axar Patel at
backward point. Nitish Rana asked to open the innings played some lovely shots.
Anrich Nortje struck again for Delhi Capitals dismissing
Rahul Tripathi with good delivery. Tripathi looked decent enough with
aggressive strokes against Kagiso Rabada. Rabada was bought into the attack and

first ball. Cummins struck again to get rid of in-form Shikhar Dhawan leaving
Delhi Capitals in trouble. Shreyas Iyer looked in decent touch but Pant
struggled to time the ball. At the end of the first six overs, Delhi Capitals

for KKR. Pant was not able to time the ball. Delhi Capitals scored 58 for 2.

climbing. Varun Chakravarthy got the breakthrough dismissing Pant top-edging
taken by Shubman Gill at deep square leg. Pant and Iyer added 63 runs for the 3rd

wickets at regular intervals and put enough pressure on Delhi Capitals. At the
