After reaching his fifty, Pant was in simply sensational form hitting boundaries and sixes at will. Harshal Patel contributed 24 off 17 balls. Patel and Pant added 55 runs for the 4th wicket. Pant upped the ante showing his class making life tough for SRH bowlers. He did not allow any bowlers to settle and completed a century off 56 balls. Despite the other batsmen failing, Pant hit 26 runs off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the last over with 3 sixes and 2 fours. It was an amazing knock by the dashing batsman remaining not out on 128 off 63 balls. His innings included 15 fours and 7 sixes. Delhi Capitals posted 187 for 5 in 20 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down this target with ease as Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner put on unbeaten 176 runs for the 2nd wicket. Despite Pant’s brilliance, Dhawan was awarded the man of the match award.
