The England Cricket Team had something to cheer as Jonny Bairstow became the first centurion in the 2021/22 Ashes series so far during the 3rd day of the 4th Test match played at Sydney Cricket Ground, SCG on Friday.
England began the day on 13 for 0, Haseeb Hameed failed to

enough without taking any runs for 17 more deliveries. The struggle ended for
England batters as Bairstow, and Stokes started to score runs. Ben Stokes left
the ball, but it did not dislodge the bails as umpires gave out but on review, it was overturned too not out. Both experienced batters showed intent in keeping the scoreboard ticking. Stokes was struggling with an injury but kept the pressure
on the Australian bowlers.

tough for the Australian bowlers. Scott Boland did not bowl due to injury as he
was taken off for a scan. Stokes completed his fifty off 70 balls. England went
into the tea break with the scoreboard reading 135 for 4.

eventually struck getting the wicket of Stokes. Stokes and Bairstow added 128
runs for the 5th wicket. Soon after, Jos Buttler fell caught by Khawaja
to leave England struggling.
Mark Wood came to the crease and took the attack to
Australian bowlers. Bairstow was hit on the nail by Cummins but then decided to
keep hitting big shots. Wood and Bairstow kept the scoreboard ticking making life
tough for the opposition.
