England announce their playing XI for the 3rd Test match

 The England Cricket Team announced their playing XI for the 3rd Test match against struggling New Zealand to be played at Headingly, Leeds from tomorrow onwards.

Under the new captain of Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum, the hosts England played an attacking brand of cricket in both Test matches. Thanks to a sensational 137 by Bairstow and an unbeaten 75 not out by Ben Stokes, England chased down 299 runs in 50 overs to win the match by 5 wickets and take a 2-0 lead in the series.

England team have played some brilliant cricket in the 2 Test matches so far. In reply to New Zealand’s 553, Joe Root showed his class with a majestic 176, Ollie Pope 145, and Foakes half-century, England made 539 runs.

For his brilliant 137, Jonny Bairstow was named the man of the match award. England would be looking to continue in the same aggressive attitude and register a whitewash over the inaugural ICC World Test Championship New Zealand.

In the first Test match at Lords, Joe Root scored a brilliant unbeaten century along with Foakes' fifty, England chased down a big target of 277. The last time they played a Test match at Headingly, England registered a comprehensive win over India with an innings and 78 runs win.

Jamie Overton gets a call-up for the 3rd Test match and will feature in the playing XI. The England team looks balanced and hoping to see England dominate New Zealand.

England has shown great attacking batting skills in the 2 Test matches so far and hoping to provide another excellent display at Headingly, Leeds. The veteran James Anderson will not feature in the playing as he struggled during the 2nd Test match.

They have gone with the same combination apart from Anderson. It promises to be an exciting encounter as England would be hoping to continue their aggressive cricket.
