India at Commonwealth Games 2022: Indian women’s hockey
The Indian women’s hockey team would be looking to showcase their skills against top-quality nations. Right before this tournament, Savita Punia and Co finished 9th in the recently concluded Hockey Women’s World Cup 2022 played in Spain and Netherlands.
Like the men’s, England qualified as the host nation for the
tournament while New Zealand made it into the tournament after winning the title
during the 2018 edition on Gold Coast. Australia, India, Canada, South Africa,
Scotland, Wales, Ghana, and Kenya qualified for the prestigious tournament due to
higher rankings.
