All you need to know about the historic England’s tour of Pakistan T20I series

The England Cricket Team arrived on Pakistani shores after 17 years. They would feature in 7 T20I matches starting from 20th September and finishing on 2nd October.

It promises to be an exciting series as the England team has some explosive T20I players in the form of captain Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali and few youngsters who have done well during the Natwest T20I Blast. England would be looking to stop their poor form as they lost the T20I series to India by 1-2 at home and drew the 3 matches against South Africa at home 1-1 as the 3rd match was abandoned due to rain.

On the other hand, Pakistan would be ironing their flaws against a decent England squad. Pakistan batting was not up to the mark almost losing against Afghanistan as Naseem Shah hit 2 successive sixes. Their only decent performances came against Hong Kong and then India. They lost back-to-back matches against Lanka including the finals.

Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Shah Afridi will not feature in the T20I squad due to injuries. Other notable exclusion as Mohammad Haris would take place for the first few matches replacing Mohammad Rizwan.

Here we look at the England team for the T20I series

Alex Hales, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Jordan Cox, Jos Buttler (C), Ben Duckett, Dawid Malan, Phil Salt, Reece Topley, Moeen Ali (VC), Will Jacks, Olly Stone, David Willey, Chris Woakes, Luke Wood, Mark Wood, Tom Helm, Richard Gleeson, Liam Dawson, Adil Rashid
