India’s Schedule For Series Against England Announced

The Indian men’s Cricket Team will tour England for a five-match Test series to be played in 2025. It promises to be an exciting series between the top two teams in the world.

India drew the five-match test series on England soil at 2-2. India took a 2-1 lead before the fifth test did not take place as Indian players feared COVID.

The series will be played from June till August. It will be a part of the 2025-27 ICC World Test championship cycle.

The Indian team will start the series at Headingly, Leeds from 20th June onwards, followed by the 2nd match to be played in Edgbaston, Birmingham on 2nd July. They will move to Lords, London for the 3rd test match from 10th July onwards. India and England would face each other in the fourth match at Old Trafford, Manchester on 23rd July.

Both teams would end a long test series at Kennington Oval, London on 31st July.

The Indian women will take on England 5 T20Is, 3 One-day internationals. The T20I series will start on 28th June and finish on 12th July 2025. After this, both teams would face each other in 3 ODIs on the 16th, 19th &22nd of July.

  The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September. Indian team began the first quarter on a good note with Abhishek's reverse flick shot saved by Korean goalkeeper Kim Jahean. After the initial domination, a superb pass by Arijit with a goal by Uttam Singh in the 13 th minute to give India a 1-0 lead. Soon after, Korea’s two penalty corners before the third penalty corner as the shot hits Sumit’s body.   At the end of the first quarter, India led 1-0.   The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt. Nitish Kumar and Steve Taylor steadied the ship for the USA. Sam Curran dismissed Steve Taylor caught by Moeen Ali. Taylor and Nitish Kumar added 34 runs for the 2 nd wicket. It was a disciplined bowling effort by the England bowlers as they kept picking wickets at regular intervals. Sam Curran struck to dismiss Harmeet Singh.
