Eng vs Aus 1st T20I: England Name 3 Debutants

 

England named their playing XI for the first T20I match against Australia played at Rose Bowl, Southampton on 11th September 2024.

Phil Salt has been appointed as the captain who will serve as a replacement for Jos Buttler. Salt would open the innings with Will Jacks. Jordon Cox who performed brilliantly in the NatWest T20 Blast would get a chance to feature in the England T20I squad.

Liam Livingstone will be leading the charge in the middle order with his explosive batting. Jacob Bethell will be making his debut for England and hopes to create an impact with the bat.

The pace bowling options include Reece Topley, Saqib Mahmood &Jofra Archer. Jamie Overton will be making his T20I debut for England against Australia tomorrow. It promises to be an exciting contest between two powerhouses of international cricket, especially T20I format.

Adil Rashid is the lone spinner included in the playing XI. Liam Livingstone could do the job of part-time spin option. England would look to showcase their attacking skills with Phil Salt and Will Jacks opening the innings.
