England Announce Playing XI For The 3rd Test Against Pakistan

England named their playing XI for the third and deciding test match against hosts Pakistan to be played in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi from 24th October onwards.

They suffered a 152-run loss in the second test match at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan. It was a disappointing batting performance from the England team in the second test as Ben Duckett was the top scorer in the first innings with 114 as they made just 291 runs.

Chasing down 297 runs in the second innings, England collapsed to be bowled out for 144. It was another disappointing batting performance as they struggled against the spin duo of Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan.

The opening duo consists of Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett. Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Harry Brook, and Jamie Smith could comprise of middle order batters. All the England batters could look to showcase their domination in the third test and register a series win.

Gus Atkinson will return to playing after missing the second test. Atkinson bowled brilliantly in the second innings of the first test at Multan. He would replace Matthew Potts.

Rehan Ahmed would be making a comeback into the playing XI considering the spin pitch that will be dished out in the 3rd test. Rehan replaces Brydon Carse and would look to create a major impact with both bat and ball.

Jack Leach and Shoaib Bashir made a major impact in the 2nd test match at Multan. They would look to do another superb job and put pressure on the Pakistani batting line-up.

It promises to be an exciting contest as the series is equal at 1-1. This test match would be important for the WTC cycle.

Here we look at England’s squad for the 3rd test match against Pakistan at Rawalpindi.

Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Stokes (C), Harry Brook, Jamie Smith (WK), Gus Atkinson, Rehan Ahmed, Jack Leach, Shoaib Bashir.
