Leach deceived Naseem Shah with flight and Jamie Smith produced a simple stumping to bundle Pakistan out for 220 in the second innings. Aamer Jamal finished unbeaten on 55 which was not enough for Pakistan to save innings defeat.

It was a horrible performance by the Pakistani cricket team after posting 556 runs in the first innings. Harry Brook made 317, Root's 262 made life tough for the Pakistani bowlers. Harry Brook toyed with the Pakistani bowlers smashing them to all parts of the ground.

England 823 for 7 in 150 overs (Brook 317, Root 262, Naseem Shah 2/157, Saim Ayub 2/101) beat Pakistan 556 in 149 overs (Shan Masood 151, Salman Ali Agha 104*, Leach 3/160, Carse 2/74) and 220 in 54.5 overs (Salman Ali Agha 63, Jamal 55*, Jack Leach 4/30, Atkinson 2/46, Carse 2/66) by an inning and 47 runs.
