Mumbai Indians is the second most successful team in IPL history with 5 titles along with Chennai Super Kings. Hardik Pandya replaced Rohit Sharma in last year’s IPL and lagged last in the points table.

Hardik has been appointed as the captain for this year’s IPL also after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 & Champions Trophy 2025 played in Dubai.

Jasprit Bumrah will miss the first few matches as he is recovering from an injury that he suffered during the 5th test against Australia in Sydney.

  The Indian shuttlers had a disappointing outing as only one of them made it into the quarterfinals of the Super 1000 Malaysia Open 2025 played at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur on 9 th January. HS Prannoy, women’s doubles pair of Tressa Jolly suffered narrow losses while Bansod, mixed doubles pair of Crasto/Kapila, and other pair lost in a one-sided affair. Tressa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand suffered a heartbreaking loss to Jia Ya Fan and Zhang of China in three thrilling games.   The Indian shuttlers had a disappointing day with only 2 of them progressing into the second of the Super 750 Singapore Open 2025 played on 27 th May. PV Sindhu eased past WY Zhang of Canada in two straight games. It was a dominating performance by former World champion putting the opponent under immense pressure. She won the match with a dominating scoreline of 21-14, 21-9 to move into the second round. It will be tough ask as Sindhu will face Chen Yu Fei of China. HS Prannoy stuns Rasmus Gemke in three thrilling games. It was a close fought start in the first before Prannoy showed domination putting pressure on the Danish.
