West Indies captain Mathews struck dismissing Drummond with a simple catch to Alleyne. The Scotland openers put on 48 runs for the opening wicket. Mathews struck two more times in quick succession getting rid of Kathrine Bryce & Darcey Carter to leave Scotland struggling. Ailsa Lister and Sarah Bryce steadied the ship keeping the momentum going. A superb piece of run out by Chinelle Henry ended the innings for Lister. Lister and Sarah Bryce added 31 runs for the 4th wicket.

Sarah Bryce & Megan McColl steadied the ship with another superb partnership keeping the momentum going for Scotland with boundaries and taking singles. A superb piece of fielding by Lister and gathered by Sarah resulted in the run-out of the experienced Stafaine Taylor leaving West Indies in trouble.

Chinelle Henry hit two sixes in an over before being stumped by Sarah Bryce trying to hit another big shot. Scotland bowlers showed their discipline by getting wickets of Shabika Gajnabi, Cherry Ann Fraser, Afy Fletcher & Karishma Ramharack to leave on the verge of an upset.

West Indies captain Hayley Mathews retired hurt twice. She came to the crease with 9 wickets down, completing her century off with 101 deliveries. Mathews displayed attacking shots.
