Indonesia Open 2025: Satwik/Chirag loses in quarterfinals

The dynamic Indian duo of Satwik/Chirag lost to Man W C and Tee KW of Malaysia in the quarterfinals of the Super 1000 Indonesian Open 2025 played at Jakarta on 6th June.

Both pairs started the first game on a positive note keeping pressure on each other. Tee and Man showed their aggression with smashes and putting Indian pair under pressure. At the mid-game break, Malaysian pair had 11-9 lead. After the break, Satwik/Chirag Shetty took 3 points in succession to take 1 point lead. 

Malaysian pair showed their skills putting pressure on Indian pair taking decent lead. Satwik/Chirag fought back strongly to level the scores. The match ebbed and flowed before Tee and Man won the first game by 21-19. 

The second game began initially with alternate points before Man and Tee showed their class putting Satwik/Chirag under immense pressure. At the mid-game break, Malaysian pair had a commanding 11-5 lead. After the interval, Satwik/Chirag fought back strongly to reduce the lead for just 1 point at 15-16. Tee and Man made sure that they did not allow any more points to Indian pairing as they won the second game by 21-16.

Satwik/Chirag lost their first match against Man and Tee. It was a decent outing for the Indian pairing as they reached the semi-finals of Singapore Open. They made into the quarterfinals of Super 1000 Indonesian Open after coming back from an injury.

Satwik/Chirag defeated 8th seeded Carnando and Maulana in the first round with scoreline of 18-21, 21-18, 21-14. They then edged past against Kjaer and Sogaard of Denmark in another three games with 16-21, 21-18, 22-20.

These days the Kabaddi World Cup in which India won gold medal made the country proud., but the audiences in India are were able to see the matches but the scores are there in Facebook which shows that that this sport needs backing of the government and also some sponsorship so that this game gains popularity. India which is a champ in Kabddai has done so well in the Asian games winning both gold medal in men's and women's section.Most of the games like Cricket, Hockey especially World Cups is telecasted and there are pre and post shows related to a particular match. Friends in the new college

The new college in which I am studying that is Indria Gandhi National open university(IGNOU) has been a great exprience for me as I have made 4 to 5 good friends with whom i go around these days. When I go to college i pick up them and also come with them in a metro. Sheeba, Prachi, Radhika and Sourabh and also other are my good friends. One day we played Chain and various other games that we used to play in the school days. When we met on the first day I also was not aware of them but when i knew them we became very good friends.
