3 Players Who Played A Key Role For West Indies Winning the 3rd ODI Against Pakistan
West Indies
sealed their first ever series win over Pakistan after a gap of 34 years. They
registered a dominating 202 runs win in the 3rd and deciding One-day
international played at Trinidad and Tobago on 12th August 2025.
After
struggling a lot in the initial stages, West Indies batters showed their class
in the dying overs to post a massive total of 294 for 6 and then bowlers skittled
visitors out for 92.

3rd ODI against Pakistan.
1. Shai Hope
West Indies
captain Shai Hope led from the front with a match winning knock. He struggled initially
against Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz. Hope kept the scoreboard ticking taking
singles completing his fifty off 54 balls.
The hosts
looked in trouble at 184 for 6 before Shai Hope launched an assault on the
Pakistani bowlers smashing them to all over the park. It was a remarkable knock
by Hope reaching his 18th ODI century off 83 balls. Hope then
hammered the Pakistani bowlers remaining not out on 120 helping West Indies
post 294 for 6 in 50 overs.
Hope proved
too be the backbone of the West Indies batting line-up as they struggled against
Pakistani spinners. Shai Hope was awarded the player of the match for his unbeaten
120 off 94 balls.
2. Jayden Seales
Jayden
Seales register his best bowling figures of 6 for 18 in 7.2 overs. He looked in
top form right from the word go.
Seales got
rid of Saim Ayub in the very first over. He then got wickets of Abdullah
Shafique, captain Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam in his first spell to rattle
the Pakistani top order.
He was
bought into the attack and got wickets of Naseem Shah and Hasan Ali. It was a
top effort as Jayden Seales kept disciplined lines and lengths not allowing any
chances for Pakistani batters to score runs easily.
3. Roston Chase
Roston
Chase proved to be a game- changer with both bat and ball in the 3rd
ODI. West Indies looked in trouble at 113 for 4. Chase showed intent right from
ball go against Mohammad Nawaz and other Pakistani bowlers.
He played
attacking shots keeping the scoreboard ticking along with Shai Hope. Chase
cameo ended scoring 36 off 29 balls. Chase and Shai Hope added 64 runs for the
5th wicket to steady the West Indies innings.
Chase looked
impressive with the ball also giving away just 16 runs in his 6 overs including
1 wicket. He rattled stumps of Hussain Talat and made sure that Pakistan do not
score runs easily.
Chase ended
the innings with a direct hit to run out Abrar Ahmed as West Indies won the
match by 202 runs.
