  The Indian pairing of Satwiksairaj RankiReddy and Chirag Shetty goes down to silver medalists Liang Weikeng and Chang of China in three games during the semi-finals of the BWF World Tour finals played at Hangzhou, China on 20 th December 2025. Liang and Chang began the first game on a positive note putting Indian pairing under immense pressure. It was a great start for Chinese pairing taking 6-3 lead before Satwik/Chirag made strong comeback to take 5 successive points. Satwik/Chirag put on excellent display with 11-6 at the mid-game break.   The Indian pairing of Satwiksairaj RankiReddy and Chirag registered their second successive win against Muhammad Shoibubl Fikri and Fajar Alfian of Indonesia in Group B fixture played at Hangzhou, China on 18 th December 2025. Satwik/Chirag began the first game with aggressive putting the Indonesian pairing under immense pressure. It was a dominating display by Indian pairing with a commanding 11-2 lead at the break. Despite some fightback, Satwik/Chirag Shetty won the first set comfortably by 21-11. The second game began on an even keel before Alfian and Fikri putting on excellent display of badminton putting the Indians under immense pressure with 9-4 lead. FIH Junior Hockey World Cup 2025: India’s journey in the tournament

  The Indian junior hockey team had a mixed journey in the FIH Junior world cup played in Chennai and Madurai. Indian team made a great start to the tournament finishing at the top of Group B. They started their journey with a dominating 7-0 win over Chile. Rosan Kujur, Dilraj Singh scored 2 goals each while Ajeet, Anmol Ekka and Rohit Ekka made one goal each. The second match of the tournament saw India thrashing Oman by whopping 17-0 margin. Arshdeep Singh, Manmeet Singh, Dilraj Singh scored 3 goals each, Ajeet, Gurjot Singh, Thounaojam scored 2 goals each while Anmol Ekka and Shardanad Tiwari scored one goal each.   The Indian men’s junior hockey team produced a stunning comeback win over Argentina in bronze medal match played at Major Radhakrishnan Stadium, Chennai on 10 th December 2025. It was a perfect start for Argentina with Anmol Ekka made a heavy challenge which was initially penalty corner and changed to stroke.   The Indian men’s junior hockey world cup team held onto their nerves with a thrilling win over Belgium in the 4 th quarterfinals played at Major Radhakrishnan Stadium, Chennai on 5 th December 2025. Belgium started on a positive note right from the first quarter with a lovely save by Indian goalkeeper Princedeep Singh.
