India Open 2026: Indian Shuttlers Participation

The top Indian shuttlers will take part in the prestigious Super 750 India Open starting from tomorrow onwards at Indra Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.

Lakshya Sen will face Ayush Shetty in the first-round match. Srikanth Kidambi would take on Lin C Y of Chinese Taipei. HS Prannoy promoted to main draw will take on Lee Chik Y U of Hong Kong.

The women’s singles section will see Malvika Bansod take on Pai Yu Pai of Chinese Taipei. Riding on confidence with semi-finals in Malaysia Open, PV Sindhu will face Nyugen of Vietnam.

Satwik/Chirag Shetty will look to comeback strongly after quarterfinals exit in the Super 1000 Malaysia Open, would face Chen ZY and P Smith of USA. H Amsakarunan and MR Arjun will take on Ong YS and Teo EY of Malaysia in the first round.

The women’s doubles section will witness Tressa Jolly/Gayatri Gopichand take on Jongsathapornparn and S Suwchai of Thailand.  Jolly and Gayatri suffered first round exit in the first round of Super 1000 Malaysia Open.

G Rawat and M Rawat will face stern challenge against Jia YF and Zhang SX of China. P Konjenbgam and Shruti Mishra would take on Lui LL and Tsang H Y of Hong Kong. R and S Panda will face Hara and Kiyose of Japan in the first round. K Selvam and S Singhi will take on 2nd seeded P Tan and Muralitharan.

The mixed doubles section will see Rohan Kapoor and Shivani Gadde take on M Sidel and TP Nyguen of Germany. A Surya and A Pramutesh would face Shimogami and Hobara of Japan.

Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto will face tough challenge of Teerarastukul and Taerattanchai of Thailand in the first round.

The best all-rounder in limited-overs format from Bangladesh, Shakib AL Hasan picked the best figures in Caribbean Premier League history played at Bridgetown, Barbados on 3 rd August 2013. In this match, Trinidad and Tobago Red Steels captain Dwayne Bravo won the toss and decided to bat first. Shakib AL Hasan was bought into the attack in the 6 th over and immediately struck by getting rid of experienced Ross Taylor. He did not allow Red Steels batsmen to score runs easily. In his 3 rd over, Shakib picked 3 wickets of Red Steels captain Dwayne Bravo, Nicolas Pooran and Kevin Cooper to leave Red Steels in big trouble at 40 for 7. He picked wickets of Samuel Badree and Kevin O Brien to bowl out Red Steels for a paltry total of 52 in 12.5 overs. Indonesia Open 2025: Satwik/Chirag Enter Quarters, Others Crash Out

  The men’s doubles pairing of Satwik/Chirag entered the quarterfinals while other 3 Indians lost in the 2 nd round of the Super 1000 Indonesia Open played at Jakarta on 5 th June 2025. Satwik/Chirag Shetty edged past R Kjaer and Sogaard of Denmark in three games. The first game began with both pairs fighting for each point. Kjaer and Sogaard displayed great service skills. Satwik/Chirag fought back strongly to make a comeback. At the mid-game break, Danish pair led 11-10. After the break, Kjaer and Sogaard played brilliant badminton winning the first game by 21-16. The second game also began well for both pairs. Satwik/Chirag made a strong comeback whenever Kjaer and Sogaard look to take the game away. At the mid-game break, Danish pair again took a 11-10 lead. After the interval, Satwik/Chirag fought back strongly to level the scores and then won it by 21-18 to force into the decider.
