Thailand Masters 2026: Devika Sihag Register Another Impressive Win To Enter Finals

 

It was another impressive performance by Devika Sihag reaching the finals of the Super 300 Thailand Masters 2026 defeating fifth seeded Huang Yu Hsun of Chinese Taipei in two straight games.

The first game began with both players fighting for each point till 7-7. Huang looked impressive keeping pressure on Devika not allowing chances to take a 11-7 lead at the break. After the interval, Huang continued her dominating performance looking to take the first game away. From 15-20 down, Devika showed great fighting spirit saving 5 match points to make it 20-20. The Indian shuttler held onto her nerves to take 2 more points winning the first game by 22-20.

Both players began the second game on an even keel as they made unforced errors. Devika Sihag put on superb display keeping pressure on Huang putting consistent pressure and making life tough for her. At the mid-game break, Devika had a commanding 11-5 lead.

After the break, Devika kept pressure on Huang maintain the momentum and never allowed any chances for her opponent. It was a remarkable performance by Devika winning the second comfortably with a scoreline of 21-13 to enter her first Super 300 finals.

Devika had a great tournament in the ongoing Super 300 event winning against top seeded Supinda Kathenong of Thailand and then getting rid of Huang in the semi-finals in two straight games.

Devika will have chance for glory as she will face Goh Jin Wei of Malaysia in the finals tomorrow. It promises to be a mouth-watering clash as Devika would be looking to clinch her maiden Super 300 title against higher ranked Goh.
