It was an aggressive start by both teams but needed help to convert chances into goals. India earned their first penalty corner which was converted by Harmanpreet Singh in the 12 th minute to give them a 1-0 lead and ended the first quarter at the same scoreline.  The hosts Qatar became the first team to be knocked out of the FIFA World Cup 2022 as they lost to Senegal played at Al Thumama Stadium, Doha on 25 November. Senegal started the initial minutes with lots of possession before Qatar showed little domination. Sabaly got the first real chance but the shot went wide off the goalpost. There were chances for both teams but could not convert those chances into goals.  Qatar’s Ismail Mohammad was awarded a yellow card. Argentina began the game with attacking moves putting pressure on Saudi Arabia’s defense.
