BWF World Championship 2025: Satwik/Chirag Ensures India Medal, Other Two Knocked Out

  The men’s doubles pairing of Satwik/Chirag Shetty ensured a medal with a commanding win over their fancied opponent Aaron Chia and Soh of Malaysia while PV Sindhu & Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto knocked out of the tournament in the quarterfinals of the BWF World Championship 2025 played at Paris on 29 th August. Satwik/Chirag Shetty produced one of their best performances with a straight game win over the 2 nd seeded Malaysian pair Aaron Chia and Soh of Malaysia. The first game began with a long 59 rally shots before Indian pairing gets the point. Satwik/Chirag got six successive points at the start to build pressure on Malaysian pair. Hero Men’s Asia Cup 2025: India Starts The Tournament With A Thrilling Win Over China

  The Indian Men’s hockey team started the Hero Men’s Asia Cup with a thrilling 4-3 win over China in Group A encounter played at Rajgir Sports Complex, Rajgir on 29 th August 2025. Indian team began the first quarter with an aggressive move but Chinese goalkeeper Wang made a stunning save. A penalty corner shot was converted before the visitors decided to review the decision; it was overturned due to Hardik Singh push. China stunned the home crowd as Du Shihao converted penalty corner into a goal in the 12 th minute. Right before the hooter, India earned another PC but Harmanpreet Singh shot went wide.   The prestigious Hero Asia Cup hockey tournament is about to begin in Rajgir, Bihar from 29 th August onwards till the 7 th September. A total of 8 teams divided into 2 groups will take part in this event. Lot is at stake with the winner of Asia Cup 2025 will qualify directly for the World Cup 2025 to be held in Belgium and Netherlands.   The star Indian shuttlers HS Prannoy and PV Sindhu made a winning start to the BWF World Championship tournament with comphrensive wins played at Paris on 26 th August 2025. PV Sindhu survived a scare before winning her match against Bulgarian K Nalbantova in straight games. Nalbantova started off brightly putting Sindhu under pressure with smashes. At the mid-game break, Bulgarian had a 11-7 lead. After the break, Sindhu showed great resistance taking 7 points in succession. The match ebbed and flowed with Nalbantova missing easy chances to kill the game. Sindhu held onto her nerves to win the first game 23-21.
