This year Karnataka has played brilliantly so far and are certain  to seal a berth in finals of Ranji trophy 2014. In the semi finals against Punjab the visitors won the toss and bowled first. The start was not bright as Karnatka captain Vinay Kumar was injured and left the field. After that the Karnatka team struggled and picked up two wickets in the first session. The youngsters in the Indian team have learnt a lot from this tournament and they have shown that if the preparations are good enough the young team can beat anybody. In the two test matches so far Pakistan  dominated 2 and half days  but from the 3rd day of 1st test onwards Sri Lanka have dominated the Pakistan. In the World Hockey league final so far the Indian team has not been up to the mark. The Indian team has played 3 matches so far losing 2 and drawing 1. In the first match against the England team the passing was and finishing was bad, the penalty corner conversion was averageand defense was bad that is why Indian team loss the match. The second match was against the New Zeleand team and the problem was the same as the England match as the the passing was bad, the penalty corner conversion was not great,but at the end India was able to convert 1 goal.
