  Lakshya Sen produced a stunning effort to beat Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia in three thrilling games during the quarterfinals of the All-England Badminton Championship 2024 played in Birmingham on 15 th March 2024. The Indian began the first game on an aggressive note taking a 5-1 lead. Sen looked in control with drop shots that put Malaysian off guard. Lee made a strong comeback to put pressure on Lakshya. Sen showed his skills by taking an 11-7 lead at the mid-game break. After the break, Lee made a strong comeback with some lovely smashes and leveled the score at 12-12.   It was a superb outing as Lakshya Sen and the men’s doubles pair qualified for the semi-finals with contrasting wins in the Super 750 French Open played in Paris on 8 th March 2024. Satwik/Chirag Shetty dominated as they won in two straight games against Thailand pair Jomkoh and Kedren. The first game was a closely fought encounter before Satwik/Chirag won the first game by 21-19.   The Indian Shuttlers had a great day with most of them making it into the quarterfinals of the Super 750 French Open played in France on 7 th March 2024. PV Sindhu proved her worth with a three-set win over Zhang of the United States of America. The first game saw the Indian struggling before losing the first game easily at 13-21. Sindhu struggled initially in the second game before showing her class putting the USA player under pressure. She played some lovely smashes that kept her on the front foot, winning the second game easily at 21-10.   The third game also started decently for both players before Sindhu showed her class winning it easily by 21-14 to move into the quarterfinals.
