Commonwealth Games 2022: Indian women thrash Pakistan to stay alive in the tournament
The Indian women’s Cricket Team produced a rocking display as they registered to dominate display against arch-rivals Pakistan in a rain-curtailed match played at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Sunday. Due to rains, the match was reduced to 18 overs a side. Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof won the toss and decided to bat first. Renuka Singh bowled a beautiful first over with a maiden over troubling Meghana Singh produced superb delivery to get rid of Iram Javed. Muneeba Ali was not able to time the ball, but Maroof looked decent keeping the scoreboard ticking. After the initial struggle, Muneeba showed intent. At the end of the first 5 overs, Pakistan women made 26 for 1. Muneeba looked in decent touch while Maroof kept the scoreboard ticking with singles.
