  The Indian shuttlers had a great outing with 5 of them entering into the quarterfinals of the Super 500 Hylo Open 2025 played in Germany on 30 th October. Lakshya Sen defeated S Subramanian in an all Indian second round match. It was a dominating performance by Sen right from the word go putting pressure on his opponent to win by 21-14, 21-11 to move into quarterfinals.   It was heartbreak as Satwik/Chirag Shetty went down to Yuki Kobayashi and T Hoki of Japan in three thrilling games during the semi-finals of prestigious Super 750 Denmark Open played at Odense, Denmark on 18 th October 2025. The first game saw the Japanese pairing of Kobayashi and Hoki putting pressure on Indian pairing. Satwik/Chirag looked tentative with their shots as Japanese pair depended on their placements.   The men’s doubles pairing of Satwik/Chirag Shetty entered into the semi-finals while Lakshya Sen suffered loss of the prestigious Super 750 Denmark Open 2025 played at Odense, Denmark on 17 th October. Satwik/Chirag Shetty made it into the semi-finals with a three-game win over Aridanto & Hidayat of Indonesia.   The Indian team began the Sultan of Johor Cup 2025 with a thrilling win over Great Britain played at Johor Bahru, Malaysia on 11 th October. Indian team faced the defending champions Great Britain in the opening match of the tournament. Great Britain made an impression right away with 2 back-to-back penalty corners.   The Indian badminton saw two shuttlers won the gold with brilliant wins in the Super 100 Abu Dhabi Masters played in Abu Dhabi on 5th October 2025. Shriyanshi Valishetty came back from one game down to beat Tasnim Mir to win the title in all India finals. The first game saw Tasnim Mir playing attacking badminton putting Vali Shetty under pressure to win it by 21-15. Both players fought for each point in the second game before Valishetty held onto her nerves to win by 22-20 forcing the match into decider. Valishetty proved domination in the 3 rd and deciding game winning with a scoreline of 21-7 to win the title.   It was a great day for the Indian shuttlers as three of them made into the finals of the Super 100 Abu Dhabi Masters tournament played at Abu Dhabi on 4 th October 2025. The women’s section saw Shriyanshi Valishetty cruise past her Indonesian opponent Chiara Marvella Handoyo in two straight games. Valishetty dominated Chiara right from the word go putting her opponent under pressure with scoreline of 21-11, 21-12 to move into the finals.   The 2017 World Champions England made a great start to the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 with a thumping win over South Africa in match 4 of tournament played at Basapara Stadium, Guwahati on 3 rd October.   Namibia and Zimbabwe became the two teams from the Africa qualifiers to make into the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 to be played in India and Sri Lanka. Namibia qualified for their fourth successive T20 World Cup with a dominating 63 run win over Tanzania in the first semi-finals played at Harare Sports Club, Harare on 2 nd October 2025. Tanzania captain Abhik Patwa won the toss and decided to field first. After a decent start by Namibia, they looked in deep trouble at 41 for 4 before captain Gerhard Erasmus and JJ Smit steadied the ship putting the Tanzania bowlers under pressure.
