It was a disappointing day for Indian shuttler’s at the Hong Kong Super Series as both PV Sindhu and Sameer loses their respective semi-finals. PV Sindhu lost her to match Tai Tzu Ying in straight sets while, Sameer Verma fought well before losing NG KL of Hong Kong in three gruelling sets. In the women’s singles PV Sindhu took on Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei. In the first game, Sindhu started well taking the first point. Tai Tzu Ying played excellent badminton and led 3-2. Sameer Verma took on higher seed Jan Jorgsen of Denmark and showed great fighting spirit to win the match in two straight sets while PV Sindhu dominated her opponent and won her match easily.
