Indian shuttlers groups for the BWF World Tour Finals

 After the Indonesia Open 2021 tournament, 7 Indian shuttlers will take part in the prestigious BWF World Tour finals starting from 1 st December 2021. PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya Sen progressed through with good performances. In the women’s doubles category, Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy made it into the prestigious tournament after some decent performances. The young Indian pairing of Satwik and Chirag made it into the top 8 as one of the Japanese opponents lost in the semi-finals of Indonesia Open 2021. Apart from the mixed doubles, the Indian shuttlers qualified for the rest of the categories. PV Sindhu is the only Indian to win the BWF World Tour Finals. The top two players in each group qualify for the semi-finals.  The first Test match between India and New Zealand ends in a thrilling draw on the fifth and final day played at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur on Monday. Starting on the overnight score of 4 for 1, it was an ideal start by nightwatchman Will Somerville and Tom Latham as both Kiwi batters kept the Indian bowlers especially Ashwin and Umesh Yadav.  Thanks to a brilliant batting effort by the lower middle order, the Indian team ended the 4 th day of the 1 st Test match in a commanding position played at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur on Sunday. Starting on the overnight score of 14 for 1, Pujara and Mayank Agarwal began off steadily putting the bad balls away for boundaries.  The Indian challenge ended as both PV Sindhu and the men’s doubles pair lost in the semi-finals of the Super 1000 Indonesia Open played at Bali, Indonesia on Saturday. PV Sindhu went down fighting to Intanon of Thailand in three games.  Indian started on an aggressive note taking an 8-3 lead before the experienced Thai player came back strongly to reduce the gap to 9-10. Sindhu held a one-point lead at the interval. After the mid-game interval, the Indian looked in complete control and won the first game easily at 21-15. In the second game, Ratchnok put on a strong showing as took a commanding 11-7 lead at the interval.  It was a good day for the Indian shuttlers as PV Sindhu and men’s doubles made it into the semi-finals against their respective opponents of Super 1000 Indonesia Open 2021 played at Bali, Indonesia on Friday. The two-time Olympic medallist registered a hard-fought win over Sim Yingung of South Korea in three games. Sindhu struggled in the first game committing unforced errors losing it by 14-21.  New Zealand stormed back into the match with some brilliant performances against hosts India on the 2 nd day played at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur on Friday. Starting on the overnight score of 258 for 4, Ravindra Jadeja survived a close LBW shout given not out by the umpire and on review, it was retained due to the umpire's call.
