Top performers getting call ups for Indian ODI squad against South Africa

 The BCCI announced a strong One-day international team for the 3 matches series against South Africa to be played from 19 th January 2022. Newly-appointed captain Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the series due to an injury. KL Rahul will take charge of the Indian team. The other talking point about the ODI team is that Jasprit Bumrah has been named as the vice-captain.  The Indian Under 19 Cricket Team produced a dominating display to defeat Sri Lanka in one-sided rain-curtailed finals played at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai on Friday. Sri Lankan captain Dinuth Wellage won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision did not pay off as Ravi Kumar and Hangekakar took advantage of the conditions.  The Indian men’s hockey team registered their 2 nd win of the tournament with a thrilling win over arch-rivals Pakistan played at Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium, Dhaka on Friday. It was not an ideal start for the Indian team as Akashdeep Singh was awarded a green card. India dominated the opposition keeping momentum with great attacking skills but Pakistan's defense was solid.
